This one was far from easy, but once we came up with a solution for the vectral rings and supports, everything else pretty much fell into place.

The excellent Star Wars: Incredible Cross Sections book was a big help when it came to the details. We included the access panels to frustrate Rebel technicians, and even had a recess behind the cockpit for our astromech droid (who, quite typically one would think for an R2 unit, unexpectedly went AWOL on the day of the photo shoot).
